2025 -2026 SALINA RODEO QUEEN CONTRACT
EXPECTATION STATEMENT AND WAIVER OF
LIABILITY
As a contestant in the Salina Rodeo Queen Contest, I understand that
should I win the title as the Salina Riding Club Rodeo Queen or Attendant, that I
am an official representative and am responsible in representing the Salina
Riding Club and Salina Rodeo to the public.
I will strive to represent high moral and ethical character, exceptional
sportsmanship, and speak intelligently with knowledge of the Salina Riding Club
and Salina Rodeo.
I understand that the Salina Rodeo Queen Contest is not a beauty
contest, but is a competition which recognizes a number of attributes including
sportsmanship, horsemanship, personality, public speaking, and appearance.
Therefore, it is my responsibility, as the Salina Riding Club/Salina Rodeo
representative to act, speak and dress to the esteem my title deserves at any
time I may be in the public eye.
If I am selected as Queen or Attendant, I agree to the following:
To wear my crown, hat, buckle, sash, and appropriate shirt (modest
Western Attire) anytime I am acting in the capacity of my title.
To attend the following events as requested by the Salina Riding
Club/Salina Rodeo
Committee.
Days of the Old West Rodeo, Delta, Utah
June 2025 - Choose One Day
SALINA INDEPENDENCE DAY RODEO, SALINA,
UTAH
JULY 3&4, 2025 - BOTH DAYS
SALINA 4 TH OF JULY PARADE, SALINA, UTAH
Ute Stampede, Nephi, Utah
July _____, 2025 - Rodeo and Western Parade

Fiesta Days Rodeo, Spanish Fork, Utah
July TBO, 2025 - Day to be assigned
Sevier Co. Fair Rodeo, Richfield, Utah
August TBO 2025 - Choose One or Both
By signing this expectation statement and waiver of liability, I
acknowledge that this is a contractual agreement between myself
and the Salina Riding Club/Salina Rodeo.
To uphold my title, encourage others to participate in future contests and
to assist in the promotion and production of the contest in any
way.
During the term from my entry as a contestant and through my reign, I
will remain unmarried and not bear any children. I shall observe
high moral standards and ethical character.
I hereby release the sponsors, the Salina Riding Club, and Salina Rodeo
from any claim f or damage or liability as a result of accident or
injury which may occur while participating in or traveling to any
event required in the Salina Riding Club/Salina Rodeo Queen
Contest activities and/or during my reign.
By signing this contract and expectation statement, I do
acknowledge that if I do not comply with the terms of this
agreement, my title will be revoked along with all prizes I
received to represent the Salina Independence Day Rodeo.
Prizes include but are not limited to Saddle, Buckle(s),
Sash(s), Crown(s) and any other prizes/accessories won at
the contest.
I acknowledge that Salina Riding club and/or its Queen
Coordinators has the right to deny any application to do any
past, present or future issues regarding misconduct,
behavior, sportsmanship, and or non compliance with
proper expectations in competing and representing the
Salina Rodeo Queen contest and Salina Independence Day
Rodeo and Salina Riding Club.
Parents also understand that they will uphold themselves to act
appropriately at the contest and other activities where their daughter is
representing the Salina Riding Club/Salina Rodeo. Parents and
contestants will not fight with the committee, judges, other contestants
or other parents. Any complaints can be made after the contest to the
committee.
I also release the right, title and claim of photography by the Salina
Riding Club/Salina Rodeo Committee or any official photographer for their
future use.
I have read this Expectation Statement and Waiver of Liability and fully
understand and agree to abide by the terms therein. I hereby state for myself,
my parents, legal guardians, and assistants that I have read and understand the
Salina Riding Club/Salina Rodeo Queen Contests Rules and agree to abide by
said rules during my reign as Salina Riding Club/Salina Rodeo Queen or
Attendant.
