Poteau Frontier Rodeo Description

The Poteau Rodeo will be Aug. 2-3 at Phil Gardenhire Arena, and there

will be a Poteau Rodeo Royalty Pageant leading up to the rodeo. There

will be a raffle at the rodeo on Aug. 3, drawing for a quarter pound of

beef, $100, a load of SB2 and a West Marine Go-Anywhere high-back chair.

The Poteau Rodeo will begin at 8 p.m. each day. Mutton busting will be

at 7 p.m., with signups at 6:30 p.m. Rodeo events include bull riding,

saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, ranch bronc riding, steer

wrestling, team roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping and calf roping.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
