Indiana Rodeos

Indiana has more than farmlands and agriculture. It also has rodeos and festivals. Make sure to schedule time for a rodeo when you’re planning your visit to Indiana.

Dan Patch Festival Rodeo

In September, you can see two full rodeo performances at the Dan Patch Community Festival. The rodeo is part of the Mid States Rodeo Association, as well as the International Professional Rodeo Association. Each night will feature bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing and bull riding. In addition to the traditional rodeo events, you can also enjoy hilarious performances by rodeo clowns throughout the show. These exciting performances can be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.

The Dan Patch Community Festival is an annual celebration that honors The Great Dan Patch. This famous colt has held a special place in the heart of Oxford, Indiana since the 1900s. The festival goes for three full days in September. There’s plenty of family-friendly fun at affordable prices. With vendors, food, a cash bar and live entertainment, there’s something for everyone.

MEC Ranch Rodeo

For a full weekend in July, you can visit the Michiana Event Center (MEC) for the annual Ranch Rodeo. It’s the largest Ranch Rodeo east of the Mississippi, so you won’t want to miss it.

The Ranch Rodeo brings lots of family fun and kid-friendly activities. With bronc bustin’, calf roping, team trailering, wild cow milking, pony express, and kids’ mutton bustin’, there’s bound to be lots of laughter and excitement for everyone.

Madison Indiana Rodeo

The Madison Indiana Rodeo is an adrenaline-pumping, thrilling event that brings the toughest cowboys and roughest stock to compete.

For two days in September, you can see this unforgettable, family-friendly rodeo. Skilled riders will take on fierce bulls and bucking broncos in a series of challenging rodeo events. You can also enjoy delicious food, artisan vendors, and western-themed entertainment.

River City Rodeo

The River City Rodeo is produced by the Hoosier Cowboy Association every May. It’s considered the Best Two-Night Event in Evansville.

River City Rodeo is a professional PRCA event, with bareback riding, barrel racing, bull riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, and mutton bustin’. The Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is one of the biggest associations of rodeo professionals and supports rodeo sports. The PRCA hosts finals each year in December.

Big Hat Rodeo Co

The Big Hat Rodeo Co produces professional rodeos across the midwest. It’s a family owned organization that’s been producing rodeos for over 104 years. It services Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Missouri. Big Hat Rodeo Co is the longest running stock contractor in the International Professional Rodeo Association. Their goal is to “Make every performance the wildest, most exciting and fun it can be.”

Big Hat Rodeo has a reputation for producing professional rodeos with innovative twists. At their shows, you’ll enjoy music, laughter, pageantry and excitement. They combine traditional events with professional livestock, exciting specialty acts, synchronized music, family-friendly clowns, and non-stop excitement and surprises.

When you attend a Big Hat Rodeo, you’ll experience the highest quality of family entertainment with current and former world champions competing with award winning animals. You can check out their schedule for the season to find rodeos in the nearby area.
