UGA Block & Bridle members also organize other events, including the Special Events Rodeo where local elementary students learn about western heritage and the origins of rodeo events.
Held at the Georgia Mountain Fairground, you can see bucking horses and bucking bulls at the Hiawassee Pro Rodeo. This rodeo occurs at the end of August and beginning of September.
Georgia has several rodeo associations that support rodeo sports throughout the state and across multiple age groups. These associations include Georgia High School Rodeo Association (GHSRA), Georgia Lineman’s Rodeo Association (GLRA), Georgia Junior Rodeo Association (GJRA), and the North Georgia Little Britches Rodeo Association.
