On the Saturday of Labor Day weekend, you can see the Annual Culpeper Rodeo. This rodeo is a charity event for the Kelly Street Boxing Club, and has been running for three years. The proceeds from the rodeo will go towards helping at-risk boys in the community. It’s an exciting event that supports a great cause.

The Rockfish River Rodeo is a one-of-a-kind event that combines classic western farm rodeo with a twist of hard cider. It’s held over Labor Day weekend in the heart of Nelson County.
On Saturday, the field day is open all day to the public. You won’t want to miss the pre-party with local bands, hard cider bars, craft beer bars, food vendors, artisan vendors, and rodeo festivities. There’s even a free rodeo show from 2-5pm.

True Grit Rodeo is sanctioned by the Southern Extreme Bull Riding Association (SEBRA), so you’re bound to enjoy a wild western ride. True Grit Rodeo events are also sanctioned by the International Miniature Bullriding Association (IMBA).
Some of True Grit Rodeo’s yearly events include Extreme Bull Bash competitions, fairs, and even the True Grit Bull Camp. Bull riders and bull fighters can train at the Bull Camp in May, and also participate in Weekly Bullriding Training throughout the year.
The Isle of Wight Co. Fair is one of True Grit Rodeo’s favorite events each year. It’s only 45 minutes away from the beach, and highlights country music concerts, great food, and midway along with the rodeo. Rodeo events will include bull riding, crossfire, barrel racing, and mini bulls.
In March, True Grit Rodeo holds their Extreme Bull Bash Tour Finals, as well as True Grit’s Big Run. The finals include bull riding and barrel racing events with big cash rewards for each event. Mulberry Farm IBRA Barrel Racing is held from June through October. This exciting event is sanctioned by the International Barrel Racing Association (IBRA). Points are awarded based on the IBRA point system.
Mulberry Farm IBRA Barrel Racing includes several divisions which people can compete in. There are events for pee wee, open 4d, youth 3d, adult 3d, and masters 3d. The rodeo is held at the Mulberry Farm in Nokesville.
At the Chesterfield fairgrounds, you can enjoy top-notch family entertainment. The Chesterfield County Fair and Rodeo is held over labor day weekend.
For two days, there will be rides, shows, food, games, competitions, and entertainment. In addition to the rodeo, there are pageants, a silent auction, a comedy hypnotist, a magic show, and trapeze artists. The rodeo helps benefit the Gordonsville Fire Department.
