The IRCA provides opportunities for men, women and youth to compete in professional rodeo events. Competitions are held year round and each event has a cash prize for the winner. The season finishes in September with the IRCA Finals.

Rogue Rodeo

They pride themselves on their entertaining specialty acts, and are even considered to have some of the best specialty acts in the midwest.

Sidney Iowa Rodeo

From July 30 to August 3 is the Championship Rodeo in Sidney, IA. This rodeo is sanctioned by both PRCA and WPRA, so you’ll see some of the most legendary cowboys and cowgirls compete in professional rodeo events.

Founded in 1923, the Sidney Iowa has been going for over 100 years. It’s among the oldest and most prestigious PRCA events, and has even been entered into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame.

The Sidney Iowa Rodeo boasts one of the best rodeo facilities in the country. Along with the PRCA rodeo, they also host a carnival and flea market. There’s also a downtown parade and dances on the weekend, so there’s plenty of fun to be had even outside of the rodeo.

The Sidney High School Rodeo Band performs at each event, so you’ll be able to enjoy good music along with the exciting specialty acts. There’s also a Rodeo Queen Contest, Mutton Bustin’ for kids, and you can even get an autograph from the rodeo clowns, queens and contestants after the performance.

CINCH World’s Toughest Rodeo

Early in 2025, the “World’s Toughest Bulls & Broncs since 1979” will be arriving on tour in Des Moines, Iowa. This is a professional rodeo sanctioned by the PRCA, and will be held at the Wells Fargo Arena.

The rodeo performance features bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, barrel racing, and bull riding. A winner will be crowned each performance, so there’s lots of excitement to be had.

Edgewood Pro Rodeo Days (EPRD)

The Edgewood Pro Rodeo Days is an annual, town-wide celebration that you won’t want to miss. It’s held every year during the last full weekend in June. The PRCA sanctioned rodeo goes on each night Thursday through Saturday.

The rodeo isn’t the only event that you can enjoy during this celebration. There are lots of community events, such as breakfasts, lunches, games, carnivals, music and sports. There’s also a parade and a demolition derby.

Tri-State Rodeo

The Tri-State Rodeo is held annually in Fort Madison, Iowa. It’s been the highlight of the PRCA Great Lake Circuit since 1948. It starts every year on Labor Day weekend.

The Tri-State Rodeo brings a week of action-packed entertainment and events. There’s breakfasts, dinners, a 5K race, a kid’s rodeo, Lil Miss Rodeo, barrel racing, chute outs, a golf tournament, and a parade. The rodeo will be held nightly with an after-party and concert after each performance. There’s nonstop fun all week, finishing off with the Rodeo Finale on Saturday night.

Be sure to take a look at the rodeo schedule before purchasing your tickets so you don’t miss out on any deals. There’s a Family Night and a Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night, as well as a Military Night. If you attend the rodeo on the Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night, be sure to wear some pink. For every person in attendance who wears pink to this performance, the rodeo will donate money to support breast cancer awareness and research.
