Arkansas Rodeos

Known for the beautiful Ozarks region, don’t overlook Arkansas when you’re choosing a vacation spot. You can even catch a rodeo in Arkansas.

Arkansas Rodeo Associations

Arkansas has two primary rodeo associations that sanction rodeos throughout the state and host finals each year: Arkansas Cowboys Association (ACA) and Arkansas Rodeo Association (ARA).

The ACA was founded in 1976 and hosts its finals in October. It also supports rodeos across the state, including rodeos in Imboden, Searcy, Wynn, Mount Vernon, Dolph, Mountain View, Melbourne, Ash Flat, Paragould, Mountain Home, Bethesda, Calico Rock, Leslie, Batesville, El Paso, and more.

Founded in 1968, the ARA also hosts its finals in October. It sanctions rodeos across Arkansas, including rodeos in Hot Springs, Arkadelphia, Supply, Monticello, Searcy, McCrory, Lonoke, Searcy, and Sheridan.

Arkansas also has several rodeo associations that support youth participation in rodeo sports: Arkansas High School Rodeo Association, Arkansas Junior High Rodeo Association, Central Arkansas Little Britches Rodeo Association, and Arkansas Teenage Rodeo Association. The University of Arkansas at Monticello even has a rodeo team.
