The Canyonlands PRCA Rodeo has been a tradition for over 50 years here in Moab.
Our stock Contractor Bar -T Rodeo: The Bar-T Rodeo Inc. is a family-owned and operated business founded over 60 years ago in Moab, Utah. D. A. Swanny Kerby - inducted into the Cowboy Hall of Fame in 1997, and his wife, Verda Kerby rounded up wild mustangs and range bulls starting around 1945. The Kerby's brought early rodeo to Utah and has furnished quality livestock in every "Superbowl of Rodeo's," the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in every year since 1959. “Fifty years is a long time, but a man in rodeo really needs two lifetimes – one to get an outfit together and a second one to enjoy it.” ~D.A. Jody Carper is one of the best Rodeo Announcers around. Jody has been selected 3 times by the PRCA to announce the National Finals Steer Roping and two times as the Ram National Circuit Finals Announcer. He has also announced hundreds of other great rodeos across the United States and Canada.
Gizmo McCracken, the "2017 Comedy Act of the Year" has been entertaining crowds across the country for many years. He became a member of the PRCA (Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association) in 1992. Since that time the list of accomplishments has grown beyond belief. Working 16 PRCA Circuit Finals Rodeos, Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo, Cheyenne Frontier Days, Nominated "Coors Man in the Can" 3 times, Nominated "Clown of the Year", 2017 Comedy Act of the Year, Nominated for Comedy Act of the year 7 times, voted onto the shortlist for the Wrangler National Final Rodeo Barrel Man in 2017 and a featured act at the 2005 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo. Gizmo takes pride in the fact that his humor is good, clean, family-style comedy.
